Blood Snap 2.0 is here: Apple Health, Health Connect, AI medicine scan & more
Free printable blood pressure log (PDF)
BloodSnap 2.0 is here — and it brings everything many caregivers asked for into one free blood pressure and blood sugar diary. You can sync with Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android, import and export your history, scan a medicine label with AI to add a pill faster, and log readings with improved OCR snap and voice. Blood Snap remains a personal wellness diary — not a medical device, blood pressure machine, or glucometer.
Listed on both stores as Blood Pressure & Glucose Chart, Blood Snap still lets you type, speak, or photograph a home monitor. What is new in this build is how easily your numbers move between apps, backups, and clinic-ready files — while you stay in control of every value before it saves.
Apple Health and Android Health Connect sync
Blood Snap 2.0 can sync blood pressure, blood glucose, and weight with the health apps you already use. On iOS that means Apple Health. On Android that means Google Health Connect. Turn on sync in Settings under Health Apps, grant permission, and use Sync now when you want an immediate pass.
- Bidirectional sync — readings you log in Blood Snap can write to Apple Health or Health Connect, and inbound readings from those apps can appear in your diary (with a clear imported/synced note).
- BP, glucose, and weight— the same vitals you track at home stay aligned with your phone's health graph when you choose to connect them.
- You opt in — sync stays off until you enable it. If Health Connect is missing on Android, install it and try again; Apple Health needs the usual Health permissions.
Already have years of Apple Health history? Use Import Apple Health Export in Settings with a ZIP or export.xml dump so older blood pressure, sugar, and weight records can land in Blood Snap without retyping. Duplicate-aware import keeps a second pass from doubling your list.
Full capability notes live on the features page, which now lists Apple Health and Health Connect as available on their platforms.
Extended import and export of data
Moving a blood pressure log or glucose diary between phones, spreadsheets, and clinic visits is part of everyday care. Blood Snap 2.0 extends that path:
- Export CSV — download your blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight history as a spreadsheet file from Settings.
- Import CSV — bring compatible Blood Snap exports back in when you switch devices or restore a backup.
- Apple Health file import — ZIP or XML export from Apple Health for historical dumps, alongside live Health Apps sync.
- PDF and CSV from History — filter by type and date range, then export a clean report for a doctor visit without leaving the app.
For clinic-ready habits, see how to export blood pressure readings for your doctor. Charts and exports show numbers you entered or confirmed — they do not diagnose.
AI medicine label scan to add medicine faster
Adding a new pill used to mean typing the name and dose from a tiny bottle. In Blood Snap 2.0 you can use AI medicine label scan: photograph the label, let on-device OCR and AI suggest the medicine name, dosage, purpose, and instructions, then review every field before you save.
After you confirm, set reminder times the same way as before — so doses sit next to your blood pressure and blood sugar log in one diary. Blood Snap is not a pharmacy, not a prescription tool, and not medical advice. Always check the label and your clinician or pharmacist if anything looks wrong.
More on reminders: free pill reminder app and medicine reminders with your BP and sugar log.
Improved OCR and voice logging
Snap and voice were already three ways to log alongside typing. This build improves how readings are read and parsed:
- Improved OCR — photograph a home blood pressure monitor, cuff, glucometer, glucose meter, or scale. On-device OCR runs first; if digits are hard to read, optional AI vision can suggest values. You always confirm before save. Not Bluetooth. Not guaranteed on every font or model.
- Improved voice — speak a blood pressure, blood sugar, or weight reading. On-device speech recognition and smarter parsing fill the log form; you review the transcript and numbers before saving. No ads during the camera or voice flows.
Step-by-step: snap and voice log blood pressure. Always match the digits on your home monitor before you tap save.
What you already had — still free in Blood Snap 2.0
BloodSnap 2.0 builds on the same calm diary: blood pressure (systolic, diastolic, pulse), blood sugar with meal context, weight, Insights charts (7 / 30 / 90 days), medicine and custom reminders, Firebase account sync when you sign in, and offline-first logging. Every core feature stays free — supported by ads on main screens, not during snap or voice. See the full list on features.
No-ads version coming soon
Some people want the same diary without ads. An ads-free version is coming soon for those who need it. Until then, Blood Snap remains free to download with all logging, sync, export, and reminder features included — ads help keep the app free for caregivers and families.

What Blood Snap 2.0 cannot do
- It does not diagnose, treat, or replace your doctor.
- It is not a blood pressure cuff, glucometer, CGM, or Bluetooth pairing app for meters.
- OCR and voice suggestions can miss unusual screens — always confirm digits and medicine fields.
- Health sync and Apple Health file import need your permission and a readable export when using dumps.
Thank you for the feedback that shaped this build — from Health sync requests to faster medicine setup and calmer snap and voice. We will keep polishing the diary built for everyday home tracking.
