Yes. Blood Snap is free to download with no subscriptions and no paywalled features. Logging, voice and snap entry, blood pressure and glucose charts, PDF/CSV export, medicine reminders, and cloud sync are included. The app is supported by ads on main screens, not during camera or voice flows.

Is Blood Snap a blood pressure monitor, cuff, or machine?

Accepted Answer

No. Blood Snap is a personal wellness diary. It does not inflate a cuff or take a blood pressure reading. Use a home blood pressure monitor, automatic cuff, or manual cuff your clinician recommends, then type, speak, or snap the numbers into Blood Snap.

Is Blood Snap a glucometer, glucose meter, or CGM?

No. Blood Snap is not a glucometer, glucose meter, blood glucose monitor, or continuous glucose monitor (CGM). You can log the blood sugar number you see on a meter or CGM display (mmol/L or mg/dL). The app does not stream continuous glucose data.

Can I log readings from any home blood pressure monitor or cuff?

Yes. Type systolic, diastolic, and pulse from any home blood pressure monitor. Or photograph the monitor screen with Snap entry and confirm the numbers before saving. Blood Snap does not connect over Bluetooth and does not rank “best” home BP machines.

What is a Blood Snap blood pressure chart?

Insights shows 7-day, 30-day, and 3-month charts of blood pressure readings and blood sugar levels you logged, plus average, min, and max. That is a chart of your diary — not a diagnosis, not a “normal blood pressure” or “normal blood sugar” label in the app.

How do I log systolic, diastolic, and pulse?

On Home, tap + and choose blood pressure. Enter the top number (systolic), bottom number (diastolic), and pulse if your machine shows it. You can also speak the reading or snap a photo of the display. Review every value before save.

How should I tag fasting blood sugar vs after eating?

Accepted Answer

When you log glucose, choose meal context: fasting, before meal, after meal, or bedtime. That keeps fasting blood sugar and blood sugar after eating separated in history and on charts. The app does not tell you what a “normal” fasting or post-meal value is — ask your clinician.

Point your camera at a BP cuff, blood pressure machine, glucometer, or scale display. Blood Snap tries on-device text recognition first. With consent, a cropped image may be processed to suggest values. You always confirm or edit before saving. If the camera cannot start, choose a photo from your library or enter the reading manually.

How does voice logging work?

Tap the microphone on the dashboard, speak your reading (for example “blood pressure 120 over 80”), and the app converts speech on your device. Review the numbers on the log screen before saving.

Is Blood Snap a calorie counting app or a DASH diet plan?

Accepted Answer

No. Blood Snap does not count calories and does not prescribe a DASH diet. It is a diary for blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight. Follow food advice from your clinician or a dietitian. See our DASH article for public NHLBI pointers only.

Does Blood Snap tell me if my blood pressure or blood sugar is normal?

No. The app charts numbers you entered. It does not apply “normal,” “high,” or “low” clinical labels. Educational ranges on bloodsnap.com cite public guidelines and are not a diagnosis. Always seek your doctor’s advice.

Are there ads?

Yes. Blood Snap is free and supported by Google AdMob ads on screens such as Home, History, Insights, Medicine, and Settings. Ads do not appear while you are using the camera or voice logging flows. Health readings are not used to target ads.

How do I export my data?

Open History, tap Export, then choose PDF (for your records or doctor visit) or CSV (for spreadsheets). Pick a date range and optionally filter by reading type.

Is my data secure?

Readings are stored on your device. When you sign in, data syncs to Firebase scoped to your account. Health readings are not sold to advertisers. Optional Groq processing is used only for snap/voice number parse and logging-tips translation with consent. See the privacy policy.
